Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List,
the Scandola Nature Reserve houses an exceptional marine and terrestrial heritage.
The reserve is part of the Pelagos Sanctuary agreement, marine area of 87,500 sq. km
between Italy, Monaco and France for the protection of marine mammals, which live in it.

The Scandola Nature Reserve covers an area of 1600 hectares.
It is located in the western part of Corsica.

You can reach it from Galeria or Ajaccio.

This reserve has mainly volcanic rock structures and red granite cliffs.
You will find about thirty endemic plant species.
